Event Overview:
The goal of a seminar with a Canada Revenue Agency Liaison Officer is to provide self-employed individuals and small business owners with a general understanding of the basic tax obligations involved in running a small business. Key topics include:
- Common errors made by small businesses in their tax filings.
- Books and records, including a businesses’ legal requirements and recommendations on how to maintain them.
- GST/HST registration and reporting.
- An overview of capital cost allowance.
- An overview of payroll reporting requirements.
- Selected online tools to assist small businesses.
