CFDC of Fraser Fort George
Prince George Airport Authority
This project will add a new Customs Facility to be relocated from downtown Prince George to the Prince George Airport. The Project is part of an airport expansion that responds to a combination of regional economic restructuring and repositioning with the global air cargo and passenger industry.

The College of New Caledonia
This project will fund the purchase of equipment for the new Trades and Technical Training Centre in Prince George that will service all of Central and Northern BC. Approximately 7 new instructors will be hired and additional student demand will increase. The primary benefits will be the preparedness of our workforce to face future demographic and economic changes.

Initiatives Prince George – Tourism PG
Tourism Prince George was able to upgrade its tourism space to create an attractive and efficient meeting place and marketplace where tourists, suppliers and artisans can create commerce. More importantly, Initiatives Prince George will show the increased level of retained tourism activity in the region will lead to incremental and ancillary jobs and sustainable, long-term economic benefits.

Initiatives Prince George – Film PG
This project was able to fund the integration of new software, “Film Pilot”, into its operations to digitize all photos and increase the capability of regional film partners for taking digital pictures that aid in production decision making.

The Village of Valemount
The Village of Valemount will mobilize and coordinate the efforts of various community stakeholders in order to develop recreation opportunities in the Valemount area. The Village of Valemount will focus on advancing community and economic development by creating vital partnerships with world-renowned tourism operators such as Canadian Mountain Holidays, Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing, Sunrise International Inc. and local community associations. This is a Community Capacity Building project.

Tsay Keh Dene Band
Tsay Keh Dene First Nation is implementing a Community Management Capacity Building project that will address the economic development challenges posed to the Band by the cutbacks in the softwood lumber industry and consequent slowdown of the Band’s logging company. The primary goal is for the Band to have a financially self-reliant and vigorous local economy producing employment for their members.

Prince George Railway Forestry Museum
A one kilometer, 7 ½ inch gage passenger mini rail, “The Cottonwood Island Express” was constructed in the summer of 2004 to expand the attraction to local, regional and provincial markets and to become a destination to more diverse demographics. It will create a catalyst that will enable the Museum to attract public and corporate interest and investment for an expanded presence for the Museum.

McBride Forest Industries Ltd.
This SICEAI repayable project will be a positive economic generator of job creation and retention for the Village of McBride. MFI is installing a hot oil veneer dryer and a technologically advanced green veneer processing line. MFI is the largest employer in McBride and this project will stabilize and revitalize their local economy.
