New Employment Insurance (EI) Special Benefits

NEW - As of January 31, 2010, Self-Employed people can register for access to EI Special Benefits:


- Maternity Benefits*
- Parental Benefits*
- Sickness Benefits
- Compassionate Care Benefits


Individuals need to register by April 1st, 2010 to be eligible to apply for benefits as early as January 1, 2011.


*Self-employed people in Quebec are already eligible to apply for maternity and parental benefits under the Quebec Parental Insurance Plan
